Lotus Seed Poem: 24

Nothing disturbs the mountain’s
Ten thousand year old meditation.
Its bottomless well fed by the spring of silence.
From its water I make tea,
The timeless tea of stillness & solitude.

Night is the mountain’s beloved.
Together they conceive the dawn
In the wild weather of their embrace.

One who meditates with these two
In the great dark
Witnesses their affection
In the lightning and thunder
Dancing on the edge of the world.
